"Many of the Tasmanian team got up early to take photos. Only Jeff got up at 2am to join a group of avid Tasmanian climbers for a 2 hour drive from Hobart to the Tasman Penisula. As the sun rose, Jeff anchored himself with a rope and leaned over this treacherous cliff to take photos of Doug McConnell, one of Tasmania's local climbing heros, rappelling. To the left is the Totem Pole, a dolorite column rising straight out of the sea. Throughout the morning, Jeff, a fearless climber himself, modestly maintained his relatively safe vantage point and made some incredible shots of McDonnell and his fellow climbers climbing the pole."
