Much of photography is about effectively and creatively solving problems. Budgeting, location scouting, research and finding and hiring talent are all neccessary steps for any shoot. I will solve the challenges, so that you don't have to.
The following is an example of how I work to make sure that the planning is done before the shoot occurs.
Whitewater Rafting Product Photography Shoot
Client Need: Whitewater rafting products photographed as if they were being used for a whitewater excursion.
Pro-Production Services: Location scouting and research resulted in finding a location appropriate for the shoot. Despite the fact that the shoot had to occur in December during a large winter storm, I found a location with the right light, weather and water level for the shoot. I hired 3 models, and made arrangements with over a dozen gear manufacturers to ship products to my studio. Gear included rafts, frames, oars, and many smaller soft items. I arranged transportation for the 4 hour drive from San Francisco, and provided food for the models during the shoot.
